Dogs have a special meaning in our lives and it is not hard
to understand why they will always remain as man’s best friends. Loyal, kind
and trusting, dogs have been historically celebrated in all cultures dating as
far back as prehistoric times and are thought to be the first domesticated
animal known to mankind. As an instance, the ancient Persians held a special
meaning for dogs and buried them on occasion with their dead.
One special dog breed that is
popular in the United States
and quite certainly across the world is the Labrador Retriever. This dog is known
for its good temperament and intelligence. They also make great family dogs because
of their mild temperament and are most accustomed to human environment. Labradors have also a keen mind in hunting having once
been used to retrieve waterfowls and hence, generally exhibit an ability to
sustain the rough terrain. They are strongly built hunting dogs, are known to
be athletic and will adapt to a variety of outdoor pursuits.
